Day 1
I will continue about my trip to spore. We went Spore on 4th March 2016. We went to airport by bus at 4 am. Yes 4 am. It was so early in the morning you know, haha. We have living in Jababeka, so we had to go early and it was Friday, we avoided traffic jam. It took about 2 hours. I arrived at airport at 5.30 am. Then we searched the counter of our flights. We took a flight at 9.15 am by Jetstar. When we arrived the counter was still closed. Then we had breakfast first. At 7 pm the counter was opened. We printed our boarding pass and checked luggage. Then we headed to Gate D-7. The Gate was opened at 8.30 am. We had flighted about 2 hours. Indonesia and Singapore has 1 hours different time. Singapore has 1 hour faster than Jakarta.
At Changi Airport
We arrived at Changi airport at 12 pm. Don’t take pictures there. Prohibited to take pictures. You can take pictures after passed immigration check. Before we went to immigration checkpoint we searched musholla to did shalat zhuhur. I forgot where was the musholla. Just ask. Don’t shy to ask there. Because searching location will make you waste time. After shallat we went to shop to bought STP card. STP card was used to take MRT transportation. The internet said that we can buy it from Circle K. But Circle K didn’t sell it anymore. Then we looked around and if I did not forget we found tourist shop and we got this. I don’t know it is STP or EZ-Link. The most important is this card can be used to take transportation in Singapore, haha.. The price was 35$ ( If I am not wrong, I forgot, haha).Then we went to immigration checkpoint. Don’t forget to fill immigration letter first.
Because we were at Terminal 1 and The MRT station to city was in Terminal 3, We had to go to Terminal 3. We went there by sky train. Don’t forget to bring map, book, or something else from the stand at the airport. It will be so necessary. It was free and we can find that easily. Then we look map. Our hotel actually hostel was around Bugis street. We chose hostel around Bugis street because there are Moslem area so we can find halal food easily. From Changi station we headed to Tanah Merah station. When you arrived at Tanah Merah went down to the left to go to Bugis st. The right is if you will go to Pasir Ris.
We arrived at Bugis station at 2 pm. We was very hungry. You know where we had lunch? McD… haha… Went so far to Spore and we still eat at McD. I need rice. We need rice. We were very tired. And… jeng jeng… they didnt have rice… huuuaaaaa,,,, hiks hiks. Yes I didn’t realize at Singapore many people don’t eat rice. Then we ordered potato, chicken, and cola. Then we continued to find our hostel. Actually the hostel was so near. Because we didn’t know the way and coldnt read map yet we were getting lost. The sunshine so bright and hot. After ask everywhere and anywhere finally we reached our hostel. And it was quite far from Bugis Station. And it was near Little India st and Rochor st. The time showed at 4 pm. We were very tired. We took a rest for a while. Took a bath. Then we decided just would go to Mustofa , the place to shop. Yes we didn’t know what would we do because we didn’t have enough time. The Mustofa was near from our hostel. So we went there. We did shalat ashar then we were going there. Mustofa sell many kind of stuff, beverage, merchandise, accessories, etc. I suggest you to didn’t shop at first day of your trip. Because you didn’t know if you will find better stuff or cheaper price, hehe..
Then we had dinner. Because we were in bugis area it was esier to find halal food. We were eating at malay food. But I didn’t like the taste. Maybe because I were not used eat that kind of food. After that we looked the map to decide where we would go. Finally we were deciding to go to Bugis Junction.
Then we went to bugis junction. And you know the stuff cheaper than mustofa, hahaha… poor me. But never mind. Just enjoy. After that we went to Circle K to bought water mineral. At circle K we looked map again, make plan for tomorrow trip. Then at 11 pm we came back to hostel.
